Return of the Pain
It was nice to be free of pain just after my first cycle of the trial drug. But over the last week, the shoulder pain I was originally experiencing pre-treatment, on the right side, has returned…with a vengeance. It’s what’s keeping me awake at night and is the reason why I feel so tired in the day time. I just want it to go away! when it’s here, it’s relentless.
I told the doctor on Tuesday and they’re still pretty certain it’s referred pain from the cancer on my liver. It makes sense. It’s definitely not muscular, it stabs away deep inside the shoulder blade. Heat packs ease the discomfort, a nice hot shower too…
I’m disappointed that it’s returned and am struggling to cope at the moment. Perhaps by next week there’ll be a plan of action as to what I can do to get a break from it. I hope so!
